Editorial Product Review:

Amazon.com Item Description:
Indulge in the delicate color and bright sparkle of this sunrise-orange Imperial topaz stone. The oval-cut stone measures 9 by 7 millimeters and has a weight of 2.21 carats. This is a true topaz, and not a quartz look-alike. Topaz, whose name may derive from the Sanskrit word for 'fire,' comes in a variety of shades. The name 'Imperial' topaz, which encompasses the pink, orange, and red variety of this prized gemstone, is said to have originated in 19th century Russia, where pink topaz stones from the Ural mountain mines were reserved specifically for the Russian czars. Topaz is a durable gemstone, with a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale. It should be cleaned using warm water and a mild soapy solution. Avoid strong heat, rapid temperature changes, and acids.
